Position Details
As an Ag Marketing Sales Representative, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients while delivering tailored, multi-platform advertising solutions. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, your role is part of a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on helping clients achieve their long-term business goals through GFM’s industry-leading products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities

Establish and maintain strong business relationships with prospective and existing partners

Grow print and digital advertising revenue across GFM’s entire portfolio of products

Work to find the best product mix that meets the goals of your key accounts

Achieve annual sales targets by making in person and electronic sales calls and presentations

Conduct needs assessments then build effective multi-media plans for clients

Track and maintain client and sales information in the CRM and Naviga system

Develop market intelligence and knowledge of competition, options, and industry trends

Participate in and network at industry trade shows and conferences

Support knowledge transfer to Regional Sales team and management through reports, meetings, etc.

Participate in regular and ongoing learning activities
Qualifications:
-
Experience and training in sales and/or marketing. If you are a new graduate and want to begin your career in ag marketing and sales, we will consider applicants who can demonstrate their attributes and experience that demonstrate their potential for success in this role.

Although deep agriculture expertise is not a requirement, knowledge and passion for farming is an asset. Candidates that have curiosity and a desire to learn and understand the important work of Canada’s farming community can still apply.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, and communicate clearly and professionally in written and verbal formats.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision, while also contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Maintain a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for business related travel
